Good to know, I think. Or is it, I think therefore I know? Maybe, I know I am or, because I think I am. Say what ... a priori ... or ... a posteriori! What do you think? Flip a coin? Way too much thinking going on here in these parts. What about dreaming I am?
More thoughts on "I AM". Today's reading brought my attention to the word "THINK" as it appears in my 1828 edition of Webster's. He states, "To have the mind occupied on some subject; to have ideas, or to revolve ideas in the mind". This is followed by, " ___For that I am I know, because I think" Dryden (1631 -1700). Say what, I thought! No credit to Descartes (1596 - 1650) Old Dryden would have been only seven when Descartes wrote his words in 1637! Those French and English at it again? Does anyone know when Dryden wrote his "I AM"?
